Beyond consultancy, George has a passion for sustainability, examining its historical foundations and the challenges of restoring natural habitats. His work explores the complexities of balancing ecological regeneration with modern land use requirements, recognising the often competing interests of conservation and human activities.

He has also been involved in various sustainability initiatives at an international level, volunteering in Malaysia and the Philippines on projects related to climate action and disaster preparedness. These experiences have informed his professional approach, allowing him to integrate a global perspective with a strategic focus on long-term environmental and social impact.

Outside of work, he has a strong interest in history, literature, and philosophy, and is actively involved in sailing, rugby, and cricket. He also pursues Historic European Martial Arts and enjoys exploring the outdoors through travel and local walking trails.
